Here are the stories, moments, dreams and memories of a bunch of coastie wives, an active duty gal, and 'one resident girlfriend'. We hope you enjoy our blog and come back to visit us often.
From the Honolulu Advertiser: The Coast Guard Foundation has established the Family Disaster Relief Fund to provide emergency assistance to the families of the helicopter crew who crashed last night.
Any donations received from anyone in Hawaii and from the Hawaii Dinner Committee fundraiser will be used only to support the families of those four crewmen, the foundation said in a news release. Donate at www.cgfdn.org.
Contributions may also be sent to the Coast Guard Foundation Office, 394 Taugwonk Road, Stonington, CT 06378. Make reference on the check's memo line or include a note indicating the Family Disaster Relief Fund.

Purpose
Necessity, who is the mother of invention. -Plato
For some time now, I have felt something was missing in the genre of military spouse blogs and the like. I will say that we do have some great forums out there, thanks to many dedicated folks. However, after much deliberation and discussion with friends, I decided to take this leap and commence to blogging about our collective Coast Guard life. (So, we didn't invent anything here, but Plato didn't have anything witty to say about blogs as far as I can tell.)
Because one person cannot tell the story of the Coast Guard wife alone, this blog has a group of wonderful and wise contributing writers to share their own experiences. They have already taught me so much and will surely entertain and educate you as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read our stories. Watch as we grow and soon venture into unchartered spouse territory. ;)
