My oh my. Resources do exist!

In light of recent controversy (that I will not get into), I want to shed some light on the many resources out there for members and their families in times of need. I imagine that this list is far from comprehensive, but it's a start.:

Ombudsmen are our friends. If your unit doesn’t have an Ombudsman, you have some other choices of folks to reach out to: the Command Chief, the Chaplain, EAP and/or other spouses.

Work Life exists for a reason. There are points of contact for various offices. POC list

Command Master Chiefs (aka CEA). You can contact your local CMC here: Extensive List (Reserves included).
Mutual Assistance. To assist those in financial need.

Child Care Subsidy Program. To assist those with low-moderate incomes in meeting the high costs of child care.

Family Readiness Guide. Information from 2001 USCG Reserve Magazine concerning readiness.

Be informed. Be proactive. Be smart.

This is NOT an April Fool's joke, by the way. ;) Thanks for bringing these services to everyone's attention. We do have more resource than most realize. Something to appreciate for sure!

Woohoo! Thanks so much!

Ombudsmen are really cool. Mine was so helpful for my first duty station.
