Let's Cheer for Volunteers!

So, I'm a little late. Go figure.

Last week was National Volunteer Week. Who knew? Apparently, not I?

This year's theme was, "Celebrating People in Action".

In the Coast Guard community, we have hundreds, no thousands of volunteers. Since the theme last week was celebrating those in action, let's do that here at Waiting for Ships. Send me your stories or stories of your favorite volunteers that we can share here about our fellow Coast Guard spouses. You can remain anonymous, if you choose. You can just use their first name and last initial if you aren't sure they want their name blasted out in cyberspace. Just tell us what they do or what you do so others can learn of ways to get involved or to hear the great things their neighbors are doing.
